Wedding Fayres

Cornucopia's first Wedding Fayres

Well, the last 2 Sundays saw Richard performing at Bromley Civic Centre and Dulwich College at the BestBrides Wedding shows. So far, 2 bookings from the Bromley show, with several enquiries in progress - the Dulwich one was only yesterday, so nothing yet... We will definitely be doing more of these, so watch this space.

If you are planning a wedding, then please have a chat - not only do we provide fabulous wedding entertainment, but I also work with a fantastic team of people who can make your wedding into the dream day that it should be. I have a trusted group of colleagues - we call ourselves La Fugue (website coming soon) - who have the expertise to make your special day perfect. So do get in touch.

Rockeoke (or Rockaoke?) night approacheth - 7th October at the Hootananny - get yourselves down there! Advance warning - no Rockeoke in November - we're all in the US!

Wedding in Toulouse

Cornucopia, c'est bon!

Six members of Cornucopia made their way to the South of France in Maisie, Richard's trusty minibus, for the wedding of Darrell and Samantha - it was a great occasion and the band were made to feel most welcome. The wedding took place in the Chateau de Lartigolle, a beautiful building owned by an English couple, which I can highly recommend as a place to stay, should you be in the area (www.lartigolle.com). Testimonials and pics will be on the site soon.

Cornucopia Jazz Band

...for your party, wedding or event...

Cornucopia has evolved out of several other ensembles - Melodius Thunk was a 5-piece instrumental outfit which started back in 1999, playing local venues and some private functions. Out of that came the South City Trio, which still plays a few select parties and weddings now and then, although we tend to go under the name Cornucopia these days, as it seems easier to use the one name.

As a package, we can offer either a whole evening of jazz, with myself (Richard Swan) on keys and vocals, and a bass player and saxophonist, and optionally a drummer and female vocalist. Or, more often, we offer the jazz as an extra option tagged onto the party band. For example, a client may book the 9-piece band but have the jazz trio for an hour at the Champagne Reception...

All things are possible - let us know what your requirements are...

Celebrity wedding...

Carmen Bruegmann & Anthony Nevill

Cornucopia played for the wedding of Carmen and Anthony in September. For those of you who don't know, Carmen is the deputy editor of "She" magazine. We had the 8-piece band out for this one. The wedding took place at Eridge Park in Tunbridge Wells, and was a marvellous occasion, with a huge firework display accompanied by music written by the bridegroom himself. Anthony also took to the stage to play the drums for "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. The first dance was the superb "I don't wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith, sung brilliantly by Gavin Conder, our male lead vocalist for the night.
