Cornucopia rocked St Patrick’s Hall, Reading University

Cornucopia were selected as the band to play for the St Patrick’s Day Ball organised by St Patrick’s Hall, Reading University. We performed a Bossa version of Jason Mraz’s song “I’m Yours” which went down a storm. They have already asked about our availability for next year…

The Hootananny, Brixton

February 9, 2009

Last-minute gig… Cornucopia played a very sudden gig at the Hootananny in Brixton on Friday – the band who were supposed to be playing were, apparently, the wrong side of the Severn Bridge! It was a cut-down band, but the punters seemed to love it – we were feeling ever-so funky. We had Glenn Bridges [...]

…introducing… Chris Barrie! Well, Cornucopia rocked the house on Tuesday night at the NatWest ball. Firstly, I was asked to open the entire evening and introduce the host for the evening and guest speaker, Chris Barrie (better known as Rimmer from “Red Dwarf” and Gordon Brittas from “The Brittas Empire”). We played 2 jazz sets [...]

Singing Waiters…

…at a birthday party! Well, it’s been a really busy time recently, which is why I haven’t updated this in a few days. Cornucopia played at a 50th birthday party on Saturday, and I organised 3 singing “waiters”, all of whom are normally part of the chorus at the Royal Opera House, to perform. They [...]
